In Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film, 'Licorice Pizza,' Cooper Hoffman stars as Gary Valentine, a high school student who falls in love with a woman 10 years his senior. The film is set in the San Fernando Valley in the 1970s, and it follows Gary and Alana (played by Alana Haim) as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship.
Cooper Hoffman is the son of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who worked frequently with Anderson in films such as 'The Master' and 'Hard Eight.' Cooper says that his father's work has always been an inspiration to him, and he was excited to have the opportunity to work with Anderson on 'Licorice Pizza.'
