Lawrence revealed that the couple had been experiencing significant issues for some time, stating, "Our marriage was beyond saving. We had been trying to work on things for a long time, but it just wasn't working. It was a very difficult decision, but we both knew it was the right thing to do."

The rumors of Lawrence's alleged affair first surfaced in July 2022, shortly after the couple announced their separation. However, Lawrence has vehemently denied these rumors, calling them "categorically false."
He explained, "I understand that people may have made assumptions, but I want to be clear that I did not have an affair. My focus has always been on my children and my career."
