New Zealand Names Sarah Tsukigawa as New Women's Selector

Tsukigawa Brings Wealth of Experience to Role

Sarah Tsukigawa has been named as the new women's selector for New Zealand Cricket. Tsukigawa, who has a wealth of experience in the game, will be responsible for selecting the White Ferns squad for international matches.

Tsukigawa played 44 Tests and 123 One Day Internationals for New Zealand, and was a member of the White Ferns team that won the 2000 World Cup.

Strong Track Record

Since retiring from playing, Tsukigawa has worked as a coach and administrator. She was the head coach of the Auckland Hearts from 2012 to 2018, and was also the manager of the New Zealand women's team at the 2017 World Cup.

Tsukigawa's appointment is a sign of New Zealand Cricket's commitment to developing women's cricket. The White Ferns are one of the top teams in the world, and Tsukigawa will be looking to help them continue their success.

Exciting Opportunity

"I am very excited about this opportunity," Tsukigawa said. "I have a lot of passion for women's cricket, and I believe that I can use my experience to help the White Ferns continue to be one of the best teams in the world."

Tsukigawa's first assignment will be to select the White Ferns squad for the upcoming series against Australia. The series will be played in October and November, and will be a key part of New Zealand's preparation for the 2023 World Cup.
